Intelligence by Design
Template-based systems have a ceiling. They produce consistent output, but that consistency quickly becomes a limitation. Every deliverable looks the same because it was assembled from the same static components in the same order. The Composition Engine in BOSS takes a fundamentally different approach. Instead of selecting from a fixed library of templates, it dynamically composes each deliverable through a six-phase loop: Listen, Analyze, Compose, Choreograph, Deliver, and Learn. The engine observes what the user needs, analyzes the context against prior work and industry patterns, composes a structure tailored to the specific situation, choreographs multi-agent collaboration to build each section, delivers the result with confidence scoring, and learns from the outcome to improve future compositions.
The critical innovation is in the Analyze and Learn phases. During Analyze, the engine does not just parse the user request — it cross-references the organizational knowledge graph, surfaces relevant prior work, identifies patterns from similar engagements across the platform, and determines which sections should be included or excluded based on the specific context. A pitch deck for a Series A healthcare startup gets different sections than one for an enterprise SaaS expansion. Not because someone picked a different template, but because the engine understood the difference and adapted automatically.
The Learn phase closes the loop. Every deliverable that gets approved, edited, or rejected feeds back into the engine. If users consistently remove a particular section type, the engine adjusts its composition model. If a specific choreography pattern — say, having the Research agent draft the market analysis before the Strategy agent writes recommendations — produces higher-quality outcomes, the engine reinforces that sequence. Over time, the Composition Engine becomes tuned to how your organization actually works. This is intelligence by design: not a static system that requires manual updates, but a living engine that compounds its understanding with every engagement.
